How to save hundreds on dining at Disney through grocery delivery

For real, I made this mac n cheese and pulled pork. I just threw it on a plate from Disney to feel a bit more official!

If you are anything like me, and I assume you are if you are reading this, you hate spending money unnecessarily. When you see Disney prices, you gasp and can’t fathom actually paying them for every single meal/ food item.

To combat this, we started ordering food to be delivered to our hotel room. But I about died when I saw how expensive food was from *other* grocery delivery companies. You see, the problem is my love of Aldi. I am so used to paying low low prices for food that I panic when I have to pay double or triple for items.

After our last trip in June, I came home to Aldi and saw this:

Aldi delivers to WDW now, through instacart. Talk about a game changer. If you are planning to have food delivered to your hotel room, you NEED to check this out.

There is a handy app you can download.

Throw in your WDW resort address. This is All Stars Music. Add a little note if you want to meet up with the shopper. If not, Bell Service will collect your groceries and deliver them to your room – for a fee.

Almost everything in the store is on the app. Weekly deals and some seasonal items may not be there. Items do tend to have about a $.10 to $.20 markup, which is still not terrible in the scheme of things.

Check out some meal ideas:

Chicken salad sandwiches on croissants, grilled chicken ceasar salad, pulled pork sandwiches

Loaded Hot dogs

Tacos – yes, you can microwave ground meat for tacos. My mother in law does it all the time.
Picnic salads and sandwiches
Breakfast favorites, fruit/ yogurt parfaits
Continental breakfast, including bagels and cream cheese

You aren’t just limited to Aldi through Instacart. Check out where else you can shop in Orlando:

You can choose 2 hour delivery windows. You can even schedule them out several says in advance, which is pretty awesome. There will also be a shopping fee added on top of a few dollars and tipping is encouraged. That said, this is still leaps and bounds cheaper than shopping through *the other guy*.

You may see things for free delivery if you sign up for their year long subscription. You don’t have to do that. You can just pay for the delivery and not worry about being attached to another yearly payment somewhere!
Have you tried grocery delivery? At home? On vacation? What do you think of it?

We are in no way associated with Instacart or Aldi. We just really love the food and prices. That said, if you click through our link, we both can get $10 off of a grocery delivery through their refer a friend program!
