Baked spaghetti

Spaghetti is easy and familiar. Slow cooker spaghetti is extra special and insanely easy. So easy, you might even want to try making it on vacation… in the land of the Mouse!

You can use ground beef. That is fine. But if you want it to be extra special, try using sausage. It will boost it to levels your slow cooker has never seen before.

A little bit of crumbled bacon goes a long way to making this homey dish something that is requested again and again.

Your tower of seasonings will really come in handy!

Making sure the noodles are all covered saves you from crunchy undercooked noodles on top!

Hot n fresh out the hotel…..

At home, garlic bread is a necessity. At Disney, I might just stop at my resort quick service for a side of garlic bread sticks. They tend to be about $6 for 6 of them. Since we are saving so much money making our own food, that is probably ok.

Enlarged to show texture.

Ingredients

24 oz jar spaghetti sauce

16 oz can diced tomatoes (bonus if you can get one with Italian seasoning added)

1 tsp kosher salt

1/2 tsp each garlic powder and onion powder

12 oz pasta (we love ones with hidden veggies)

8 oz ground beef or sausage

1.25 oz (or more!) crumbled bacon

None to 2 cups water, depending on where on the scale of al dente to Goulash you like your pasta

Method

Combine everything in your crock. Make sure the noodles are pushed down below the surface of the sauce. Bake on high for 1 ¹/² to 2 hours. Enjoy!
